Cheryl Newman M.D.
Family Physician Dr. Newman completed her undergraduate degree at Bryn Mawr College and earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University College of Medicine). She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, and has been a board-certified Family Medicine physician since 2001. After serving in the National Health Service Corps, working in migrant health and practicing family medicine with obstetrics in Colorado, she and her family returned to the Rochester area. She established a Family Medicine practice in Brockport in 2007, and opened a second office in Penfield in 2015. She enjoys working in her own independent micropractice where she can spend time with her patients and provide comprehensive, personalized medical care to families, including children and adults. Dr. Newman is married and the proud parent of 2 teenage daughters. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, reading, and watching sci-fi, especially Dr. Who. |
